It is called digital smile design when dentists use digital techniques to provide a personalized aesthetic smile design. How is Digital Smile Design Applied?

The patient is asked to make a choice by showing examples of previous designs. Then, a personalized smile design is made with the 3Shape intraoral scanner. These processes are repeated several times. The patient is given temporary teeth. Permanent teeth are rehearsed. Porcelains for permanent teeth are adhered afterwards.
It is recommended that the patient does not interrupt the dentist checks at certain intervals after the smile aesthetics is given to the patient in the digital environment. During these controls, the patient's dental aesthetics and health are monitored.
How Long Does It Take to Make a Digital Smile Design?
On average, digital smile design time is usually 2 sessions. In the first session, the patient's record is taken, and necessary examinations are made for the patient. In the second session, intraoral measurements are taken with a 3D scanner and the treatment phase is started accordingly. Although the condition of the tooth and the procedures to be performed affect the duration, the procedure is generally completed after a maximum of 3 sessions. If the patient does not have significant dental problems, the procedures are completed in a maximum of 3 sessions on average.
